Greetings from the far flung corner of the Liverpool City Mission! By the time this is published it will be almost a year since our Pastor moved on to work for the Slavic Gospel Association. It has been really encouraging to see the way that he is being used during teaching trips to various Bible Schools in Eastern European countries.The Lord has been good to us during this time and we have had consistent faithful ministry in a great range of styles. We do give thanks to Him for the encouragement and challenge that we have received through these men.
In our Bible studies we have considered 1 Peter and Thessalonians using the Book by Book series of questions and DVDs. We have also used Good Book guides as a focus for our discussions on Zechariah. These have been a blessing as we have had brought home to us time and again, the importance of unity and forgiveness as we live our Christian lives in eager anticipation of His return.
Our Sunday Club, Ladies’ meeting, Tots’ group and Searchers continue as means of making contact with people in the district. Quiz nights have proved very popular too. Our monthly all age services (and buffet!) have been well received. We would ask for continued prayer as we look for a Pastor, that the Lord will lead us to a man of His choice and that until then we will have patience and wisdom.
